Community Discussion

In recognition of Black History Month and in collaboration with OnyxCon, the Auburn Avenue Research Library presents, Introduction to the
Black Age of Comics: Past, Present, and Future, a community discussion on the historical and contemporary presence of Africana culture and
experience. This event will be facilitated by Joseph R. Wheeler III, founder of Atlanta’s Onyx Con Convention, which celebrates the presence of the African Diaspora in popular arts and culture.

Turtel Onli of ONLI STUDIOS will be signing these exciting books,"NOG NU, NOG IS BACK!! Team BLANGA, SASA, & Malcolm-10" along with talking about the growing international  Black Age movement and how to participate in the Chicago Black Age of Comics Clubin Chicago. The DuSable museum's gift shop sells a variety of Black Age books everyday.
